Senior Global QEHS Specialist, Analytics & Laboratories - Viby

We are part of our Global QEHS team and are based at our HQ in Viby, others are placed in Sweden and the UK.

How you will make an impact

Our analytical laboratories are primarily located at production sites, but we also collaborate with external laboratories. As our new colleague, you will take on the role as the global owner of our Global Analytical Handbook, overseeing the methodologies and practices within Arla. You will also be involved in managing data within our IT systems, utilizing SAP QM as our Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).

Your responsibilities will include developing strategies, standards, training materials, and conducting learning sessions. Additionally, you will provide troubleshooting support and drive continuous improvements in our analytical processes. Furthermore, you will lead and enhance our Analytical networks, ensuring effective collaboration and knowledge sharing.

We do work in close collaboration with many other departments to ensure alignment, e.g. with Scientists from our Innovation Centre, Specialists within Statistical Process Control, Developers of new products, Procurement for suppliers and IT & Digital for optimization of systems.

The role is primarily office-based, with the flexibility to work from home occasionally. However, you must be prepared to travel to our global sites and suppliers as needed. While travel arrangements will always be agreed upon in advance, there may be instances where short notice is required.

What will make you successful

To thrive in the role as Senior QEHS Specialist, Analytics & Laboratories, we believe you have

• Master’s degree in dairy science, food science, technology or equivalent, and preferably 5+ years of relevant experience in managing technical areas in the food industry, ideally in the dairy industry
• Practical experience in laboratory work with strong specialist knowledge in analytical methods within the food industry.
• Understanding of the importance of analytical data for food safety, product quality, and production processes
• Preferably, you have experience in a supply chain, consultancy, or contract laboratory role with strong operational microbiological experience with knowledge of chemical, physical, and/or sensory analyses.

Furthermore, we believe you are systematic, fact-based, and driven by continuous improvements with a LEAN mindset. We see that you have excellent communication skills and ability to navigate a matrix organization and that you have high proficiency in English; proficiency in Danish, Swedish, or German is preferred.
