As our new Buyer, you’ll become an integral part of our Kids Product Team – a small and dedicated group of colleagues within design, product development, technicians and purchasing. We are passionate about creating functional and high-quality products for active kids, and we value close collaboration across the team.

About the Role – Your Responsibilities

As a Buyer, you’ll take full ownership of the purchasing process for our Kids assortment. Your work will directly impact the success of our collections and strengthen our relationships internally and externally.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Full ownership of buying for the Kids product category.
  • Entering and negotiating purchasing agreements with suppliers.
  • Approving bulk fabrics and ensuring timely follow-up on forecasts and orders.
  • Participating in development meetings with design and product teams.
  • Ensuring sustainability requirements and quality standards are met.
  • Follow-up on deliveries to secure on-time arrivals.
  • Monitoring and reporting on relevant KPIs.
  • Ensuring sustainable sourcing and consistent product quality.

You’ll report to the Product Line Manager – Kids, and work closely within a cross-functional team including buying, design, product development, and technicians. Together, you will develop collections that reflect our brand DNA and meet business goals.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a colleague who’s as passionate about their field as they are about teamwork – and who shares our values of responsibility, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

To thrive in this role, we expect you to:

  • Have 2–3+ years of experience as a Buyer – preferably in textiles.
  • Have a relevant educational background (e.g., Purchasing, Textiles, or Supply Chain).
  • Bring strong negotiation skills and experience with supplier contracts.
  • Be proactive, structured, and detail-oriented.
  • Be energetic, results-driven, and solution-focused.
  • Have solid analytical skills and confidence in working with data and numbers.
  • Be a strong communicator in English (Danish is a plus).
  • Have experience working in cross-functional and international environments.

Your First Months at hummel

After 2 months:

  • You’ve settled in at our HQ in Aarhus.
  • You understand our systems and workflows.
  • You’ve joined a Friday bar, a professional event – or maybe a team workout session!

After 4 months:

  • You’ve taken ownership of your tasks and left your mark.
  • You’ve found your rhythm and contribute to developing the team.
  • You’ve built strong relationships – and you help your teammates shine.
