Three Planners/Schedulers for DSB's Large Investments and Transformation Projects

Imagine being part of the team responsible for planning and ensuring a timely rollout of a new fleet, monitoring supplier schedules, or supporting a group of project managers with scheduling tasks.

Right now, we are looking for a Project Planner/Scheduler, a Programme Planner and a Planning Specialist to join our team and contribute to one of Denmark’s largest portfolios of infrastructure projects.

You will be working on some of the most exciting and complex infrastructure projects in Denmark. You will be shaping the future of Danish railways and contributing to sustainable public transport. We have a good community and skilled colleagues.

About Our Large Investments

DSB is currently investing massively in the future railway, including new environmentally friendly electric train sets, efficient electric locomotives with accompanying carriages, and large modern maintenance facilities.

We are working purposefully to establish capacity, competence, and management methods to carry out the many large-scale programs that will define the future of the railway in Denmark.

Welcome to Our Project Management Office (PMO)

We look forward to welcoming you to our cross-functional PMO, where you will have your functional home. You will have eight other planners with whom you can share knowledge and sparring.

In daily life, you will be working on our major projects and programs. You will work closely with +50 other skilled PMO colleagues.

The Tasks & Responsibilities

Position 1) Project Planner/Scheduler

• Establish and maintain a project schedule within the framework of best practices.
• Analyze the schedule to assess its feasibility and buildability.
• Contribute to risk assessment of schedule milestones in relation to tender material and post-contract delivery plans.
• Draft stage plans/project plans in collaboration with the project team, both for tender material and later in the execution phase.
• Support the project team, challenging or suggesting improvements.

Position 2) Programme Planner

• Establish and maintain a program schedule within the framework of best practices.
• Analyze individual project schedules to assess feasibility and buildability.
• Compare individual project schedules with dependencies for other workstreams/projects, assessing risks in relation to the overall program schedule.
• Guide and support project planners and workstream leads on the robustness of project plans.
• Risk assess individual schedule milestones in relation to tender material or delivery plans, and suggest mitigation measures.

Position 3) Planning Specialist

• Establish governance for derived projects using best practices and existing policies.
• Support project managers in scope, maintenance, and control of individual project schedules.
• Review and analyze updates to the Project Schedule, conduct progress meetings, and provide explanations for deviations in Primavera.
• Monitor the project schedule for changes, assess their impact on overall deliverables.
• Establish and maintain dependencies within and between projects.
• Provide first-level support for planning tools (Jira).
• Develop PowerBI visualizations of plans (from Jira, Primavera, CLM), coordinating with input providers.

• Documented experience in planning complex projects and programs.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as Microsoft Project or Primavera.
• Effective organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Solid communication skills to collaborate with project managers, team members, and stakeholders.
• Ability to analyze project data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
