This 12-month maternity cover offers a fantastic opportunity to explore a Sales Development role within Arla Foods Ingredients and could be a stepping stone to future opportunities within our organisation. How you will make an impact

As Sales Development Manager for Sport & Health Nutrition, you will be part of our fastest growing Strategic Business Unit ‘Performance Nutrition’ based in AFI headquarters in Aarhus, Denmark.

In the Performance Nutrition team we develop, document, market and sell specialized ingredients for global customers.

Your position will involve setting direction towards different functions internally as well as nurturing a strong network of customers externally together with the account team.

With your insights from the region and customer dialogues, you will ideate with our sales development team and other key colleagues to create the sport and health nutrition solutions of tomorrow - such as new ingredients and product concepts.

You can look forward to the following responsibilities:

  • Act as interface and set direction towards internal functions e.g. Application Science, Marketing, Nutrition Science, R&D and Regulatory
  • Owning the Ready-to-Drink category, gathering relevant insights and setting the direction internally on a diverse portfolio of projects within market, application and New Product Development (NPD)
  • Facilitating ingredient NPD and concept ideation sessions by engaging key colleagues
  • Supporting our sales development activities in the Americas region – e.g. present ingredients, application concepts & market trends to our customers
  • Gathering market trends and insights to set direction for internal and external development
  • Leading the development of sales materials for our key ingredients and concepts

What will make you successful

We imagine that the right candidate has a MSc in business, marketing or related field combined with extensive nutritional knowledge and a strong passion for sport/health nutrition. Alternatively, you could have a nutritional/scientific MSc combined with solid commercial experience and mindset. Regardless, your track record demonstrates strong results and great stakeholder management skills.

In addition, you:

  • bring work experience within business development, sales, marketing, or consulting in the sport or food industry
  • are proficient in verbal and written English and possess excellent presentation skills
  • have the analytical ability to grasp market insights and scientific information and translate this into market relevant concepts
  • work structured and manage your time efficiently so several tasks can be solved in parallel. You are self-driven, result-oriented and enjoy taking on challenges that invite you to collaborate with colleagues.

The position requires physical presence in our headquarters in Aarhus, Denmark and you should expect approximately 30-50 travel days per year.
