As a student assistant, you will have the opportunity to work in a legal department with strong focus on providing high quality and commercially integrated advice to our internationally orientated business. Student assistants are an important part of the TotalEnergies team, that is why many of our students spend their internships with us as well as write their thesis about projects and challenges we face. You will be part of our Student Network where ambitious student assistants get together to boost personal and professional development as well as attending social events.

The Legal Department in Denmark consists of 6 lawyers, 2 legal partners and 2 student assistants, of which 5 are based in Esbjerg and 5 are based in Copenhagen. We work closely together and with other local departments as well as international departments to support the business. Our department supports different areas of TotalEnergies’ activities, including Exploration and Production, Renewables and Carbon Capture, Biogas and Marketing and Services.

Working hours will be approximately 15-20 per week, with flexible working hours.

Start Date: 01-08-2024.

Key responsibilities

Overall, you will assist with a wide range of tasks including:

  • Contract administration and filing
  • Invoice handling and general inquiries
  • Legal Research and drafting legal memos (including on Danish and international law)
  • Updating and review of various agreements (including confidentiality agreements, service agreements)
  • General ad hoc legal and administrative tasks.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a team player with a positive and can-do attitude and an interest in personal and professional development, the ability to build relationships and take initiatives to work constructively with others to achieve business goals.

Your background

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor/Master Law program or business law in a Danish university with a minimum of 1,5 years left of your studies
  • Fluency in oral and written English is a requirement
  • Good IT skills are an advantage.
