Technical Product Owner to Oticon – hearing healthcare and audio technology

We are almost halfway in our rollout of SAFe. The time has finally come to dedicate a full-time position as Technical Product Owner to our software development team within connectivity.

You will be part of the heart of Oticon and have one of the most important roles. Together with the Software Developers you will ensure the connectivity between the hearing aids and software.

Join a dedicated software development team

You will be joining a team of technical experts consisting of 5 Developers, 2 Testers and 1 Agile Coach. Our aim is to deliver great components of high quality.

One of the Developers has been a part-time Product Owner but will dedicate full time to development from now on.

Those with something on their heart are also the ones who get a yes. Let’s try it out within the framework provided by SAFe.

In a team that has full buy-in to try new things, your priority is to get the agile development environment up and running:

  • You will guide the team using a lean agile leadership mindset.
  • You will prioritize the team backlog and create clarity.
  • You will assist the team reflect and come up with ideas for the backlog.
  • You will enable the team to deliver to completion by accepting stories according to acceptance criteria.
  • You seek and apply feedback to continuously refine the product vision and strategy.

The ART you are joining is from the fall last year, which still gives you the possibility to shape it. For a start you will be Technical Product Owner for this one team. Over time you can become Technical Product Owner for several teams.

You will be in contact with many stakeholders, where you will facilitate their decisions based on the agile mindset. There are many tasks to deliver on, so you need to be able to prioritize also when this requires saying no.

Our headquarters is in Smørum, which will be your primary work location. However, you will have the possibility to work remotely a couple of days per week.

Background and qualifications

Your have a long-term education. You hold minimum of 3 years of experience as Product Owner, where you are used to connect with customers, users, and stakeholders, contribute to vision and roadmap, manage, and prioritize the backlog, support in delivering value, and seek and apply feedback.

You are used to working after agile principles such as SAFe, Scrum and Kanban and have relevant certifications.

You are used to a technical environment and can translate technical topics into business and the other way around. If you have experience with connected devices such as mobile phones, hearing aids or alike it will be an extra ad on but not a requirement.

You are motivated by hard core deliveries. But the people person in you creates trust, makes it fun to go to work and gets people to follow your priorities. Empathy is an essential part of your personality.
