Student Assistant in the Oticon Audiology team

Smørum

Are you interested in a student position with Oticon, a world leader in audiology? Does the combination of clinical work and research appeal to you? Are you comfortable in a high-paced environment?

We are looking for a student assistant to join the Oticon Audiology team. We work as the clinical audiology unit for the Oticon brand with the task of defining and testing clinical audiological solutions and delivering evidence to support the company’s audiological and clinical approach. As the clinical audiology team within the Oticon brand team we work in close collaboration with the hearing instrument audiology team, which is an international team of research audiologists, senior researchers, and student assistants. Together, we work on developing and communicating evidence for hearing aid benefits, and our student assistants are an essential part of the team.

As our student assistant, your tasks will vary from day to day and from month to month. You will complete some projects on your own and assist in group projects – tasks can vary from recruiting and booking test subjects, doing literature reviews, and ordering materials, to taking part in clinical research projects and trying out fun technical measurements. What is most important is that you can take on these tasks in good spirit, with curiosity and a willingness to learn. We can, in turn, offer you to opportunity for hands-on learning and being part of or even responsible for crucial deliveries. When working in our team, you will get great experience working with hearing aids and people with hearing loss, as well as good insights into the many challenges and possibilities behind performing clinical research. This opportunity is an excellent supplement to your audiological education! In addition, you can draw inspiration from working with colleagues with many different professional backgrounds.

It is important that you can work structured and independently but are not afraid to reach out when you are in doubt. You can expect an average workload of 1-2 days per week, with some periods of more or less work – we prioritize your education and are flexible around exam periods.

The office language is English, and we are an international team, so you should feel comfortable speaking English and good written English skills are a distinct advantage. The candidate must speak fluent Danish in order to participate in clinical work.

It is preferable that you have completed some, or are currently enrolled in, audiology classes, and it is ideal if you have at least 2 years left of your studies. However, do not hesitate to apply if the above sounds like a suitable role for you, because we are willing to make it work with the right candidate.

We are looking to hire soon, so hurry and apply for this exciting opportunity! A student position with Oticon is an excellent steppingstone for your career in audiology. You will be joining a team of truly committed colleagues that care about making a difference for people with hearing loss.
