SCADA Project Engineer

Do you have experience working with complex projects in an international organisation? Are you independent and accountable, and do you have excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills?

Tasks & responsibilities: You will... responsible for delivering SCADA and Wind Power Plant solutions for our global construction projects together with your SCADA Engineering colleagues. You will be involved in the project from beginning to end: from the start-up phase with contract negotiations until the project is handed over to the Service department. You will ensure that all SCADA project-related tasks are completed meeting our high quality standards, in time and within project contracts.

You will also be responsible for:

  • Supplying SCADA system engineering and creating functional design specifications according to contractual agreements and requirements
  • Design of SCADA and Power Plant Network layout in corporation with internal network specialists
  • Preparing technical purchase specifications for SCADA delivery in accordance with internal and contract requirements
  • Performing SCADA and Power Plant control system configuration for project specific functionality and deliveries
  • Preparing and performing tests for wind turbine and third-party system integration into delivered SCADA and Power Plant control systems
  • Ensuring execution and sign-off of factory (FAT) and site (SAT) tests are carried out with customers, aligned and according to the overall project plan
  • Creation of SCADA and Power Plant system documentation, incl. as-built documentation, SCADA user and operator manuals for project deliveries
  • Preparing and performing handover SCADA project delivery to our Service organisation
  • Providing regular SCADA project progress reporting to our internal project organisation and our customer

Skills & experience: Our new colleague...

...has experience working in a project organisation with complex projects. It would be preferred if you have experience with technical project management. As a person, you can work independently, be a team player and take responsibility for your delivery in a project. You have excellent stakeholder management skills, can easily cooperate with other project members, and achieve results through others.

We expect that you:

  • Have an educational background within Electrical Engineering, Marine Engineering or similar
  • Have proven experience with international project management
  • Have experience with SCADA systems and industrial automation systems
  • Have knowledge of standard industrial communication protocols for data and information exchange, e.g. IEC61850, IEC60870, IEC61400-25, Modbus and others
  • Have practical knowledge of Microsoft-based server and Cisco network technologies
  • Are customer-minded with the ability to solve even complex problems for large-scale SCADA systems
  • Enjoy a busy working day in a dynamic and changing environment
  • Are fluent in English
