Copenhagen

Dynaudio Lounge Manager

We’re looking for a Manager to lead our Dynaudio Lounge in downtown Copenhagen. It’s a rare chance to run one of the most beautiful new audio/design showrooms in the city and help build a strong in-house retail capability.

Our ambition is that the Dynaudio Lounge in Møntergade will be the place to experience high-end sound in a relaxed and carefully designed setting. The store operates as a showroom, a listening destination, a retail space and a platform for events and creative collaborations.

As Lounge Manager, you’ll make the lounge work every day as a premium emporium and a well-run workplace – a place people wish to return to, because they get the ultimate experience in sound and design.

Your contribution will also extend beyond the Lounge, as Dynaudio is developing its approach to owned retail. The experience gained in Copenhagen will thus help shape customer journeys, operating standards and tools for future locations across the globe.

Your primary responsibilities will be to:

  • manage daily operations and sales performance of the Dynaudio Lounge.
  • deliver a personal and knowledgeable customer experience through attentive service, listening sessions and product demonstrations.
  • convert customer visits and enquiries into sales and lasting relationships through relevant follow-up.
  • lead the retail team by planning staffing, setting daily priorities and maintaining high service standards.
  • maintain an excellent showroom environment, including product presentation, visual merchandising, stock and daily operations.
  • plan and host events such as product launches, listening sessions, talks and partner activities.
  • monitor key performance indicators such as footfall, conversion, sales, leads and event results, and use the insights to improve performance.
  • share best practices and learnings from the lounge to support retail development in other markets.

You’ll report directly to our Chief Commercial Officer and have a dotted reporting line to the Creative & Retail Development Director of one of our sister companies, Audio Magic Group.

Your profile

Running a store should feel second nature to you, and music is absolutely a passion of yours.

Given our line of work, we picture you in the store as a bona-fide ‘Traffic Officer’ commanding the intersection of music, design, events and business. You keep the show running with authority, good judgement and with style and a smile, knowing when to say yes, when to say no, and how to keep visitors and staff moving in the right direction. Because in retail territory, premium hospitality is the primary currency.

We're less concerned with your exact background and more interested in your ability to combine commercial focus, a welcoming attitude and disciplined daily operations.

Other than that, we expect you to:

  • have strong commercial mindset and a great sense of aesthetics.
  • possess flair for measuring success in both qualitative and quantitative terms.
  • be practical and have a structured approach to staffing, stock, follow-up, events and administration.
  • exercise excellent communication skills in Danish and English.
  • be flexible to work on Saturdays and selected evenings when events take place.

Experience with high-end audio is an advantage, but not a requirement. We’ll provide the product training.

We offer you:

  • a central, hands-on and tactical role in the development of Dynaudio retail.
  • real influence on how the lounge operates and how Dynaudio meets customers in physical spaces.
  • a daily workplace in one of Copenhagen's most beautiful showrooms.
  • close collaboration with colleagues across brand, marketing, sales, product and service, as well as leading designers and creative partners.
  • the opportunity to grow with an established Danish audio company entering a new chapter.

Application

Let’s keep it simple and effective; Please send us a tailored CV including a 5-10 line profile text telling us why you should / would like to build the Dynaudio Lounge with us.

You can of course add appendices in the form of references, portfolio etc., but a cover letter isn’t necessary, and please don’t submit your educational diploma, unless it clearly underlines your candidacy.

Interviews

We plan on having first round interviews in week 47 followed by second (final) interviews in week 48.

About us

We pride ourselves on being audiophiles, innovators, and businesspeople; nerdy specialists, generalists, and everyone in between. All bound together by a common mission of creating the truest speaker sound possible.

We have offices in Skanderborg, Copenhagen, Hamburg, Chicago and Shanghai.

Our culture

Our offices in Skanderborg and Copenhagen are more than just workspaces — they’re hubs of shared ideas, whether over lunch, by the coffee machine, or in the cozy, speaker-equipped lobby of our headquarters.

Conversations flow freely, touching on everything from football scores and cake recipes to local music events and the delicate balance of work-life and private life. And, of course, we discuss the loudspeakers, pro monitors, and car sound systems we create together.
