Cyber Security Internship, CITIS (Customer IT Infastructure Solutions) - spring 2027

We are looking for interns to join our Customer IT Infrastructure Solutions (CITIS) department at BEUMER Group. As part of the team, you will work alongside experienced specialists and gain practical experience with cybersecurity, hardening, compliance, automation, and infrastructure technologies in international customer environments.
In CITIS, we help design, implement, secure and maintain IT infrastructure solutions for customers around the world. As a cybersecurity intern, you will become part of a collaborative and supportive team where you will work on real-world challenges alongside skilled colleagues. Your tasks could be:
- Supporting cybersecurity assessments and compliance activities based on frameworks such as CIS Benchmarks and IEC 62443
- Participating in hardening and security improvement initiatives for servers, databases, virtual environments and infrastructure platforms Assisting with vulnerability management, security reviews and risk mitigation activities
- Developing and improving technical documentation, security guidelines and operational procedures
- Working with automation tools such as PowerShell and Power Automate to streamline security and infrastructure processes
- Supporting customer projects involving Microsoft, VMware, SQL Server and cloud technologies
- Collaborating with specialists across cybersecurity, infrastructure, operations, and project teams
The best part of my internship was being trusted with real responsibilities and projects that made a tangible impact. From cybersecurity assessments and compliance work to automation and documentation, I was able to apply knowledge from my studies while learning from experienced colleagues who were always willing to help and share their expertise.
