Join our Digital Solutions team at FOSS Innovation Center and help shape the quality of cloud-based analytical solutions used across the global food and agriculture industry.

We are looking for an experienced QA Test Automation Engineer to build and evolve our automated test frameworks across both front-end and back-end services of our cloud platform. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and operations to secure continuous, high-quality releases, and help us thoughtfully integrate AI tooling into how we test.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute manual tests of new features to verify specifications and identify candidates for automation.
  • Drive development and maintenance of automated test frameworks spanning UI (front-end) and API/integration (back-end) layers.
  • Deploy and manage regression tests in CI/CD pipelines on Azure DevOps and maintain our continuous testing process.
  • Transition manual tests into automated coverage and assist developers in implementing tests close to the code.
  • Provide meaningful input to dashboards covering test coverage and test run statistics.
  • Participate in triaging defects and supporting reproduction of reported issues.
  • Evaluate and responsibly adopt AI-assisted tooling in the testing process, from test generation to analysis, while maintaining rigor in what we trust and what we verify.
  • Contribute to test process improvements (templates, practices, retrospectives) and share quality insights back to the development teams.

You are expected to work on-site at the Foss Innovation Center in Hillerød where many of the key stakeholders within R&D, Product Management, and Operations are also based.

Primary Qualifications

  • 3–5 years' experience in a similar role, including hands-on development, enhancement, and maintenance of test automation frameworks.
  • Deep understanding of the full test landscape – from unit and integration tests to system and end-to-end automated tests.
  • Working knowledge of modern test automation frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or comparable tools for UI and API testing).
  • Solid experience testing RESTful APIs and cloud-based services, as well as web front-ends.
  • Programming experience in C#, TypeScript/JavaScript, or comparable languages.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines on Azure DevOps.
  • Strong grounding in Agile software development and testing practices.
  • ISTQB Certified Tester certification required; ISTQB Test Automation certification is an advantage.

Secondary Qualifications

  • Experience with API testing tools such as Postman and/or modern equivalents.
  • Exposure to performance and security testing.
  • Practical experience using AI coding assistants or AI-based testing tools, with a critical eye for where they help and where they don't.

Personal Skills

  • Curious about new technology, including AI, but pragmatic: you evaluate tools on what they deliver, not on hype.
  • Strong communicator, able to explain technical complexity concisely to both developers and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Attentive to detail; thoroughness is a natural part of how you work.
  • You promote continuous improvement in how you and your teamwork.
  • Comfortable in international teams; fluent written and spoken English
