A Quick Look at the Role
📍 Location: hummel headquarters, Balticagade 20, Aarhus C
👥 Team: KIDS
🕓 Working hours: Full-time
📅 Application deadline: June 7, 2026
Join the Team!
As Creative Buyer, you’ll become part of our KIDS team – a group of dedicated colleagues with diverse backgrounds in buying, design, and product development.
We play on the team that has the most fun – and we always play offense! For us, it’s all about taking initiative, supporting each other, and celebrating both the small and big wins. In KIDS, we are responsible for building collections that combine functionality, comfort, and trends in line with hummel’s brand DNA – and we work closely with suppliers, sales, and marketing 🚀
More About the Role and Your Responsibilities
As Creative Buyer, you’ll be responsible for developing and curating the KIDS collections – making sure they are creative, commercially strong, and consistent in quality and expression with the end consumer in focus. You will:
- Develop and build Kids collections in close collaboration with the design team and fellow creative buyers - from idea and concept to finished product
- Spot commercial trends, tendencies, and new product features in the market - and translate them into sellable products for the active consumer
- Build and maintain close supplier relationships based on trust, collaboration, and transparency - and negotiate prices, delivery terms, and production plans
- Follow up on samples, quality, and production to secure delivery reliability and ensure our standards are met
- Price products and run price and margin calculations to ensure the right commercial balance
- Analyse sales results, market trends, and customer feedback to optimize the assortment - and evaluate each collection so the insights feed into future ones
- Attend trade fairs, supplier visits, and inspiration trips - and contribute to sustainable initiatives in material choices and production
How to Make the Team
We’re looking for someone who is passionate about their field and a true team player. You take responsibility, thrive in collaboration, and are curious about how we can continuously improve together.
To succeed in the role, we expect that you:
- Have experience as a buyer or in product development – preferably within sportswear, kidswear, or apparel - with a strong commercial mindset and eye for detail
- Are creative and trend-aware with a feel for hummel’s sporty and retro expression - structured and detail-oriented, while keeping sight of the bigger picture
- Are motivated by an environment with cross-functional collaboration, where you communicate easily across design, sales, and marketing - and are proactive, accountable, and quality-driven
- Communicate fluently in English - Danish is a plus
- Hold a relevant educational background within fashion, design, or business - but most importantly, you have the courage and desire to learn and grow
- Are motivated by creating products that meet the active consumer’s need for quality at a sharp price - ideally with some experience navigating international supplier settings
