Would you like to develop a team that will grow over the next two years? And do you want to be part of building a brand-new function within the largest transport and logistics company in the world?

Then this is your chance to gain a high degree of exposure in DSV Group Finance as you take on a project with top management attention. Acquiring Schenker has provided us with new opportunities also in Bucharest, where your team will be based.

The project is a new accounts receivable function for our VIP customers, and it is central to delivering on our strategy of fewer contact points and top-quality service for our customers.

René Clausen, Director, Head of Group Credit

Join experienced colleagues in Group Credit

You will be based in Hedehusene, Denmark, and join six colleagues in our Group Credit department. From here, you will manage a team of five colleagues in Bucharest (which is expected to grow significantly during 2026 and 2027) responsible for accounts receivable for our ‘VIP’ clients.

Moreover, you will work closely with colleagues in Group Credit regarding credit control – and you will enjoy a wide range of stakeholders: From global enterprise vertical heads over country MDs to CFOs, credit managers, and even customers.

The team in Bucharest was a Schenker Global Business service center, which we are now shaping to give our customers one point of contact – but also to make our processes more uniform and effective.

Use your management experience – without losing your hands-on touch with credit control

In this role, you will spend about 80 % of your time on the project in Bucharest, managing and growing the team. This entails leading initiatives to enhance the collection of important accounts and developing standard operating procedures for the team in collaboration with the team lead.

You will spend days in Bucharest with your team frequently, and specifically, you will:

  • Conduct weekly follow-ups with the team and team lead, and track and monitor key performance indicators.
  • Handle escalation calls to drive faster dispute resolution and collection.
  • Coordinate with the Commercial team on matters such as account onboarding.
  • Implement country controls based on the credit policy and provide recommendations on credit limits requested by countries for top management.
  • Carry out stakeholder management and have regular contact with global account directors to make sure we tailor the best possible process that fits.

You will spend the remaining 20 % of your time working with your department, Group Credit, handling credit control, and:

  • Participating in different projects to enhance credit work/knowledge throughout the company.
  • Participating in daily Group Credit tasks, including on-site controller visits, which will take you travelling to DSV offices around the world, occasionally.

Regarding travel activity, we know you have a private life as well, so we always try to make plans that fit well with your life because we know that’s how we succeed together.

Also, you can maneuver between doing management work one week and credit control as a colleague the next.

Finally, we imagine that you:

  • Most likely have a finance background and great credit skills – perhaps as a credit manager.
  • Have management experience, leading larger teams and leading leaders.
  • Have good stakeholder management skills, from top management to customers.
  • Hold a degree in business administration or similar
  • Are fluent in both oral and written English.
