Project Manager, Innovation & Development

You will join a versatile Innovation & Development (I&D) team comprised of experts in robotics, vision, software, mechanical, and electrical engineering. Together, we will innovate to craft future solutions within robotics, computer vision and machine learning, ensuring competitive, reliable time-to-market for new products while maintaining strategic ambition.

Translate customer needs into innovative solutions by best-in-class products and services

As a Project Manager, you will lead new product development from the initial idea phase through various I&D phases, including exploration, validation, development, industrialization, and more. This is accomplished through meticulous project management, fostering innovation, ensuring proper risk and time management, all while maintaining a keen eye on the customer's needs as well as the financial contribution to the business. Moreover, you will facilitate effective communication and collaboration across the organization, ensuring alignment on project objectives, priorities, and deliverables.

Your tasks include:

  • Collaborate with the team to identify opportunities for technology transfer and cross-functional collaboration, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence
  • Scope management, time management, risk management, quality management, resource management and financial/budget management of projects
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, developing contingency plans and mitigation strategies
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the project management function, optimizing processes and methodologies for enhanced project outcomes
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including executive management, customers, suppliers, and research partners
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for escalated issues and resolution, mitigating risks and addressing challenges proactively to ensure project success
  • Report to and facilitate project boards and executive management steering meetings.

Skilled Project Manager within Innovation

You have experience navigating complex stakeholder landscapes and are skilled at understanding and communicating intricate structures and systems. You act as a role model by supporting and engaging your colleagues with an inclusive and motivating approach. With a strong can-do attitude, you are known as outgoing, proactive, professional, and trustworthy, and you naturally create followership through your leadership style.

We expect you to have a relevant educational background, M. Sc. within in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. Moreover, we expect you to have several years of experience from project management within Innovation, preferably within the field of automation, robotics, digital products, or similar in a global organization. Preferably you understand or are experienced with agile methodologies. Moreover, you bring the following competencies to the job:

  • Some years of experience in project management within an I&D/R&D or technology-driven environment
  • A proven track record of successfully leading complex, cross-functional innovation projects
  • A natural understanding of software
  • Experience in strategic planning, innovation management, and technology commercialization
  • Fluency in English
