Senior Frontend / Full stack Developer

At DSV, we’re scaling and evolving a critical platform supporting our global customs business. We’re now looking for a Senior Frontend / Full-stack Developer to help modernize and elevate a core AI-enabled application central to our operations. This application is all about productivity, ease of use, and fast, intuitive onboarding. You’ll be key in reshaping the UI and contributing end-to-end across frontend and backend services.

You will join our Customs Applications team within Enterprise Business Development — a dedicated group of developers, quality engineers, and business analysts focused on delivering modern, AI enabled applications that strengthen and streamline DSV’s global customs processes.

What you’ll be doing

• Collaborate closely with UI/UX designers to improve usability, productivity, and engagement
• Help shape the future UI with real influence on both design decisions and technical direction
• Contribute as a full-stack developer to backend microservices, ensuring performance, scalability, and clean domain boundaries
• Apply Domain-Driven Design principles in an event-driven microservice architecture
• Work closely with DSV Center of Excellence teams to implement engineering best practices

Who you are

You bring a collaborative and proactive mindset, with the ability to mentor junior developers and support team growth. Writing clear, maintainable code and documentation is natural for you. You’re a strong problem solver with solid debugging skills; you communicate effectively with both technical and non technical stakeholders and thrive in agile environments. You have a track record of improving code quality, documentation and engineering standards.

Frontend expertise

• 5+ years of professional frontend development experience
• Advanced proficiency in React and TypeScript
• Experience with Material UI (MUI) v5 or similar component libraries
• Proficiency with form libraries (react-hook-form, Yup/Zod validation)
• Strong experience with state management patterns and the Redux ecosystem
• Solid understanding of testing best practices (Vitest, Jest, React Testing Library)
• Proven track record of implementing complex, data driven UI features
• Experience with containerization using Docker and working on Kubernetes platforms
• Strong understanding of UX/UI principles

Full stack expertise (if applying as a full-stack developer)

• 3–5 years of experience with Java and the Spring framework
• Strong understanding of microservice and event-driven architecture
• Experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar databases
• Highly experienced with API development and secure-by-design principles
• Hands-on experience with Kafka, Confluent Cloud, or similar event streaming platforms

Nice to have

• Familiarity with WebSocket-based real-time features
• Familiarity with SonarQube or similar code quality tooling
• Experience with Domain-Driven Design and hexagonal architecture
• Knowledge of micro-frontend concepts
• Experience with modern build tools and bundlers (Vitest, Webpack)
