Responsibilities/Tasks

At our office in Søborg, you will join our Automation Engineering team, working closely with colleagues across process, mechanical and automation disciplines. Together, we ensure that electrical designs for GEA’s automated machinery and process installations meet the highest technical, safety and documentation standards.

Here, you will be part of an international engineering environment characterized by professional pride, curiosity and collaboration, where we work closely with customers who expect the best solutions.

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, verifying and documenting electrical systems for global projects, while supporting testing, commissioning and functional safety assessments.

You will, for example:

  • Design and document electrical systems and control panels in accordance with EN IEC 60204-1, EN IEC 61439-1 and relevant standards
  • Prepare and review electrical drawings and schematics using design tools such as EPLAN or AutoCAD Electrical
  • Perform load, short-circuit and protection coordination calculations
  • Specify automation hardware, instrumentation and field devices
  • Support and execute functional safety activities aligned with EN ISO 13849-1, EN IEC 62061 and IEC 61511
  • Participate in FAT, SAT, commissioning and troubleshooting globally

Your Profile/Qualifications

With an analytical, structured and detail-oriented approach, you take responsibility for delivering high-quality technical solutions. You work proactively, communicate clearly and collaborate well in multidisciplinary teams.

Additionally, we imagine you:

  • Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering or similar
  • Bring 5+ years of experience in electrical design for machinery or process automation
  • Have strong knowledge of CE marking, EU Directives and electrical safety standards
  • Understand Siemens and/or Rockwell control hardware
  • Have experience with or interest in ATEX/IECEx requirements
  • Communicate fluently in English; Danish is an advantage
