The Principal Clinical Research Scientist (Global) is responsible for design, execution, and oversight of clinical trials globally for Radiometer to support the development and approval of new medical products. The role is involved in strategic planning, cross-functional collaboration, and scientific leadership to ensure clinical studies meet regulatory, ethical, and scientific standards.

This position reports to the Director of Clinical Science and is part of the Clinical Development department with the Danaher Diagnostics Clinical Center of Excellence (CCOE), located in Copenhagen, Denmark and will be an on-site role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Provide strategic oversight, leadership and guidance for execution of multiple clinical studies for Blood Gas and Immunoassays, including Point of Care (POC) testing, in relation to study data design and collection, analysis, and interpretation to assess safety and efficacy
• Represent as clinical representative on the New Product Development / Core Team cross-functional team, providing scientific input into clinical development plans, design control and product lifecycle strategies
• Design and develop clinical study plans and clinical trial protocols in compliance with GCP, FDA, IVDR, and other regulatory guidelines
• Author and/or Owner of clinical study reports with direct support during regulatory submissions and responses to regulatory body questions
• Collaborate with investigators and KEE/KOL, support publications and presentations and represent the company in scientific and regulatory meetings

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Healthcare, or a related field with a minimum 7+ years’ experience in clinical research, specifically with significant experience in EU and/or US trials, or a Doctoral degree with minimum 5+ years of same experience.
• In-depth understanding of clinical study execution in the diagnostics, medical device, or pharmaceutical industry with products intended for the EU and US markets.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and solve complex issues in clinical trial conduct and scientific interpretation.
• Ability to critically review and interpret scientific and clinical trial data and oversee the scientific aspects of study protocols and reports.
• Excellent leadership, communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills for managing a team and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Prior experience with In Vitro Diagnostics Blood Gas Products
