Senior Solution Engineer - Digital Solutions & Automation

We are looking for a Senior Solution Engineer to join our Digital Solutions & Automation team. In this role, you will take ownership of our monitoring and automation platforms, driving innovation and ensuring operational excellence. You will take part in shaping our monitoring strategy, building scalable digital solutions, and mentor colleagues as we advance our automation and observability capabilities.

As our primary task is to ensure that we can maintain a high level of insight to the health state of our production lines through monitoring, we will find it beneficial if you have prior experience with production and warehouse facilities. It would also be an advantage if you have a good technical understanding of infrastructure, as the primary monitoring activities will focus on the infrastructure area.

Most importantly, you are solution-oriented, meaning you focus on the entire delivery-chain. Having an open mindset when discussing solutions with your peers in the team and in the organization will be crucial when you either become or do challenge colleagues to optimize deliveries.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, configuration, and optimization of Zabbix monitoring environments.
• Define and implement best practices for observability, monitoring, and alerting.
• Develop advanced automation workflows and tools to reduce manual effort and increase reliability.
• Architect and code integrations between monitoring systems, APIs, and business platforms.
• Collaborate with developers, operations, and product teams to deliver end-to-end digital solutions.
• Act as a technical expert and advisor, guiding colleagues and stakeholders.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge-sharing across the organization.
• Play a key role in shaping the roadmap for monitoring, automation, and digital services.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Zabbix would be good but not a must
• Development background with proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g. Python, Java, or similar).
• Scripting and automation skills (Python, Bash, Power Automate or similar).
• Deep knowledge of network and IT infrastructure.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Strong communicator with the ability to influence and guide others.
• Are familiar with working in an agile team

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Data analysis and reporting (Power BI)
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience contributing to architecture or solution design in cross-functional teams
