Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Description

Our Product Engineering department is looking for a highly skilled and committed Senior Mechanical Design Engineer. You will contribute to both new development projects and the maintenance of existing systems, including the design of new components and variants, part design, and the continuous improvement of current equipment.

In our ambitious Product Engineering team, you’ll be a key player in developing new project-specific concepts, improving existing solutions, and creating product variants. You’ll be deeply involved in the technical work – from the first ideas to testing and commissioning at the customer site. In other words, you’ll get to follow your designs all the way into the real world!

You will collaborate broadly across the organization, both locally and globally, engaging with teams such as Sales, Project Management, Procurement, Planning, and Production. Our systems and equipment are characterized by a high level of complexity, ensuring that you will be continuously challenged and experience significant professional and personal growth.

Your responsibilities

You’ll work from our office in Aarhus, joining a strong and dedicated team of around 20 colleagues. This is a dynamic and globally oriented role that offers the opportunity to work on-site and directly see the results of your own and your colleagues’ efforts in projects implemented across the globe.

Moreover, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Technical ownership of CrisBag components throughout the entire process, from prototype to mass production.
  • Dimensioning and analysis of mechanical products, components, and assemblies
  • 3D design in Solid Edge with a focus on mechanics and coordination across mechanics, electrical, and software.
  • Testing of products, components, and project-specific solutions in our own test center
  • Ensuring designs meet criteria for statics, cost, quality, assembly, EHSR, etc.
  • Maintenance and continuous optimization of systems and components to ensure high operational reliability.
  • Conduct quality and root cause analyses, and implement improvements in the production process.
  • Engage in dialogue and collaboration with key suppliers to ensure product quality and on-time delivery.
  • Provide professional leadership within your area of expertise, taking technical responsibility for internal tasks and projects

The position includes annual travel days, which can be planned flexibly.

Skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

You have a technical background as a Mechanical Engineer (or equivalent) and some professional experience with 3D design and 2D technical documentation. You’re used to working with complex systems – and if you have a knack for solutions that combine mechanics, electrical, and software, that’s a clear plus.

You communicate fluently in both Danish and English and are proficient in the Microsoft Office suite. Moreover, it is an advantage if you have experience in designing with plastic and steel, along with a strong understanding of the related manufacturing processes.
