Robotics Software Engineer, Innovation & Development

As a Robotics Software Engineer at BEUMER Group, you’ll design innovative solutions that drive efficiency and reliability in sortation and handling systems for logistic sites around the globe.

Our logistics customers seek innovative solutions to make their sites more efficient, as full automation of manual processes through technologies such as mobile carrier robots, articulated robots, computer vision software, and in general, a strong focus on digitalization as a key driver of efficiency.

Global innovation team

As our new Robotics Software Engineer, you will join a local, cross-functional Innovation & Development team in a global setup consisting of highly skilled professionals in computer vision, robotics, user experience design, software architecture, and software development. The team's mission is to innovate products and systems within the logistic business domain.

In your role as Robotics Software Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing, maintaining and debugging software both on Industrial PC's running communication-, vision- software and more, as well as directly on the robots them self (Fanuc, Kuka etc.)
  • Facilitating, configurating, and programming of applied robots and motion control.
  • Participating and contributing to the products journey from working prototype to final product and beyond.

The position is in Aarhus, but you will have stakeholders within the organization, both locally and internationally.

Driving business value

You have a strong background in designing and implementing automation solutions across various software platforms. You are innovative, proactive, and capable of developing automation systems and software that enhance efficiency and drive business value. Moreover, we imagine that you bring:

  • An education within computer science, engineering, physics or a related field
  • Experience with robotics and automation technology, maybe from a similar or related industry
  • Experience with near real time software and solid knowledge of C# or Java. Knowledge of Python, Docker and Micro Service Architecture would be an advantage
  • Interest in robot software and technologies in combination with vision applications
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a dynamic environment.
