Embedded Software Engineering Internship - Spring 2026

Are you excited about embedded systems, Linux, and working close to the hardware? Do you want to be part of a team that’s shaping how industrial systems collect and use data to improve reliability and performance? Join our Customer Support Engineering team as an intern and help us bring IoT innovation into BEUMER’s global product portfolio.

We are a small, cross-disciplinary team within Customer Support, working with deploying and managing IoT solutions at customer sites. As an intern in our team, you’ll be involved in a variety of tasks as we start scaling and further developing our solution.

Depending on your interests, your tasks could include:

  • Working with embedded Linux systems.
  • Implementing new features in Python or C/C++.
  • Integrating new sensor types into our platform.
  • Prototyping new concepts for upcoming features.
  • Supporting the development of a scalable, maintainable platform.
  • Working with CI/CD pipelines in GitLab and contributing to automated workflows.

Gain valuable experience working hands-on with real devices, contributing to innovative projects, and playing an active role in the evolution of industrial IoT at BEUMER Group.

You will be part of the team on equal terms with the rest of your colleagues and as such be involved in the development process.
You will be assigned a dedicated mentor who will ensure you have the support and tools and knowledge you need to get started, and who will be there to support you throughout the internship.
You will also have the opportunity to spend time with our interns from across the business, sharing your knowledge, experience and social event.
