Electrical Design Engineer

Are you looking for an opportunity to unfold your technical expertise? At BEUMER Group, we are looking for strong Electrical Design Engineer to be a part of a competent team whose primary task is to develop the electrical components and products for our fully automated baggage handling systems for airports all over the world.

We offer you an exciting and varied job where you will be independently responsible for selected product parts as well as for the execution of your own projects. Our systems have a high degree of complexity that we test and integrate in our Test and Demo centre, which has a small copy of an airport baggage handling system. With us, you are guaranteed to be challenged and to experience a great professional and personal development.

Your new job

You will have your fixed base at our Aarhus office and will be a part of Airport Product Engineering, which consists of competent colleagues specializing in electricity, mechanics and PLC software. This is a versatile and international job with around 10-20 travel days annually which will give you the opportunity to see the results of your – and your colleagues' – efforts on site. More specifically, your tasks will include:

  • Development of serial production machinery ensuring the highest standards as a leader in the marked
  • Optimizing power quality and apply motor theory principles to enhance product performance
  • Leveraging your expertise in your specialized field to contribute to project-specific developments
  • Testing products, parts, and custom solutions at our in-house test centre
  • Troubleshooting on parts and products both locally and globally
  • Supporting production with trouble shooting on challenges in regard to electric components and electric assembly.

Your profile

As a person you are independent and have an analytical as well as a structured approach to your tasks. You have the capability to prioritize, plan, and complete on schedule in an environment where several tasks must be handled simultaneously. Furthermore, you are a team player who appreciates confidence, humour, and an informal tone in the workplace.

In addition, you bring the following competencies to the job:

  • An education as MSc/BSc or similar relating to the job content
  • Experience with similar tasks, and it will be a great advantage if you also have experience with electrical systems and parts in connection with frequency converters, motors, servo systems, PLC etc.
  • Experience in FieldBus systems, EPlan, and the Machinery Directive will be a further plus.
  • Fluency in English. Danish proficiency - or willingness to learn it - is an advantage.
