Mechanical Design Engineer

Do you want to use your technical expertise to create and design bagage handling systems that make a difference – all over the world? At BEUMER Group, we’re looking for a passionate and skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to help develop the next generation of mechanical concepts for our high-tech, fully automated baggage handling systems in airports worldwide.

Step into a role with influence, innovation, and international perspectives

In our ambitious Product Engineering team, you’ll be a key player in developing new project-specific concepts, improving existing solutions, and creating product variants. You’ll be deeply involved in the technical work – from the first ideas to testing and commissioning at the customer site. In other words, you’ll get to follow your designs all the way into the real world!

What can you expect?

You’ll work from our office in Aarhus, joining a strong and dedicated team of around 20 colleagues. Here, we combine professionalism, collaboration, and an informal tone with the opportunity to work on world-class projects. We collaborate closely with colleagues in mechanics, electrical engineering, software, production, planning, and sales – both in Denmark and internationally.

We promise you’ll never be bored – there are both professional and personal challenges that will help you grow every single day.

Your tasks will include:

  • Technical ownership of mechanical solutions – from prototype to mass production
  • 3D design in Solid Edge with a focus on mechanics and coordination across mechanics, electrical, and software
  • Dimensioning and analysis of mechanical products, components, and assemblies
  • Testing of products, components, and project-specific solutions in our own test center
  • Ensuring designs meet criteria for statics, cost, quality, assembly, EHSR, etc.
  • Preparing production documentation, bills of materials, and documentation through our PDM system SAP/ECTR
  • Continuous improvement and optimization of existing solutions

The position includes annual travel days, which can be planned flexibly.

Who are you?

You have a technical background as a Mechanical Engineer (or equivalent) and some professional experience with 3D design and 2D technical documentation. You’re used to working with complex systems – and if you have a knack for solutions that combine mechanics, electrical, and software, that’s a clear plus.

You communicate fluently in both Danish and English and are proficient in the Microsoft Office suite.

We’d love to see that you:

  • Take responsibility and work independently with a structured approach
  • Are curious and proactive – and share your knowledge with the team
  • Thrive in collaboration and contribute to a positive work environment
  • Can maintain an overview and prioritize, even when things move fast
  • Are a team player with a good sense of humor and a passion for innovation

Ready to be part of something bigger?

At BEUMER Group, you don’t just get an exciting job – you become part of a global company with room to grow, strong values, and great development opportunities.

We look forward to hearing from you!
