About the Gertsen & Olufsen Vibration Compensator:

The Gertsen & Olufsen vibration compensator is a flexible system precisely controlled to eliminate various types of vibrations in a vessel—easily adjusting to the dramatic changes between full load and ballast conditions.
The compensator operates on a simple principle: it generates an exact opposite force to the one created by the engine. This interaction of positive and negative waves reduces or eliminates vibration. The system is so effective that virtually no excitation forces are transferred to the engine foundation, hull, or surrounding structures.
