About the job

At DEIF A/S, we specialise in the development and manufacturing of electronic devices designed to seamlessly control and switch between various energy sources, including solar, wind, diesel, and batteries, for efficient and reliable power production.

As System Engineer - UX Design, you’ll join our R&D Software Specialist team, consisting of 5 talented employees within the areas of Architecture and Test. In this role, you’ll be responsible for designing intuitive, user-centred interfaces for our advanced energy control systems. You’ll be involved in every phase of the development process, from early concept design to final implementation, ensuring our solutions are not only functional but also intuitive and user-friendly.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Lead UX design efforts across multiple product lines, ensuring consistency and usability.
• Translate complex technical requirements and user needs into clear, intuitive interfaces.
• Develop wireframes, prototypes, and user flows using tools like Figma or Adobe XD.
• Conduct user research and usability testing to validate design decisions and uncover insights.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and domain experts to align design with business goals and technical feasibility.
• Mentor colleagues, including developers and designers, to ensure continuous design improvement

To attract the right candidate, we offer flexible work arrangements. You can choose to work from one of our offices in Denmark or from our R&D hub in Austria.

Your profile

You’re a proactive and creative UX professional who thrives on turning complex challenges into simple, elegant user experiences. You enjoy working collaboratively across disciplines and are motivated by making a real impact through design. You’re not only passionate about your profession, but also eager to learn, grow, and share your knowledge with others.

In addition to this, you bring:

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in digital design, information science, or something similar.
• 5-10 years of experience as UX Designer, preferably in a B2B software environment
• Strong skills in prototyping and wireframing using tools like Figma or Adobe XD.
• A strong understanding of user-centered design principles, usability, and accessibility.
• The ability to communicate design decisions clearly and advocate for the user throughout the development process.
• Good English skills in speaking and writing
