About the job

As our new Senior Software Designer, you’ll join a small, dedicated team and take a leading role in further developing and maintaining our portfolio of marine instruments. Your primary focus will be on application and front-end development, working closely with product managers and customers to tailor solutions to real-world maritime needs.

This role demands a solid technical foundation, as you’ll be expected to independently adapt existing solutions and build new applications that integrate seamlessly into complex marine environments, tailored to customer-specific needs.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Take ownership of software tasks and drive them from concept to delivery
• Design and develop front-end applications for marine instruments, including the new XDI, in collaboration with customers and product managers
• Build internal test setups for automated software testing
• Collaborate closely with external consultants and partners
• Select appropriate software tools and contribute to improving development processes
• Technical product documentation
• Maintenance of existing product portfolio with respect to component changes, changing customer requirements etc.

Your profile

You are a motivated and technically skilled software designer who thrives in an energised, fast-paced and cross-functional environment. You take pride in delivering high-quality solutions and are motivated by solving real-world challenges in a specialised industry.

In addition to this, you bring:

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering or a related technical field
• Solid experience with Qt, Java, C, and C++
• Familiarity with communication protocols such as CAN and MODBUS
• Experience or interest in marine applications is a strong advantage
• Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken
