About the job

As our new Technical Sales Engineer, you’ll play a key role in supporting our sales teams and customers with technical expertise – both before and after the sale. You’ll help define the right solutions, provide hands-on support, and ensure that our customers get the most out of our products. Your work will be essential in strengthening DEIF’s position in the maritime industry.

You’ll be the technical go-to person in our Marine Instruments sales team – supporting both customers and colleagues before and after the sale. While your teammates are commercially focused, you’ll bring the technical depth that ensures we deliver the right solutions and long-term value

Working tasks & responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and sparring to the sales team regarding products and solutions
  • Assist in defining customer solutions and optimal product usage
  • Support customers via phone, email, and online channels
  • Conduct on-site commissioning, troubleshooting, and training when needed
  • Participate in customer meetings, exhibitions, and seminars
  • Gather and share product feedback with sales and product management
  • Stay updated on competitor products and contribute to product improvements
  • Business travels – 60 to 80 days a year.

The primary work location is our headquarters in Skive, with the option to work from home on Mondays and Fridays. You’ll also have access to our satellite offices in Odense, Aalborg, and Silkeborg.
Pre-screening interviews are scheduled to take place during weeks 35 or 36.

What you’ll bring

You’re a proactive and service-minded team player who thrives in a dynamic environment. You’re structured, communicative, and eager to make things happen – and you enjoy working closely with both internal teams and external stakeholders. In addition, you have:

  • A technical background, preferably in marine or electrical engineering
  • Experience in technical support or pre-sales (maritime industry experience is a plus)
  • Strong communication skills in English (other languages are a plus)
  • A hands-on approach and a strong sense of customer service
