The airport market is booming, and the demand for advanced baggage handling systems is higher than ever. BEUMER Group's systems sort over 100.000 bags daily in some of our largest hubs ensuring efficient airport operations and safe travel for passengers.

Our customers seek innovative solutions to make their airports more efficient, including the full automation of manual processes through technologies such as mobile carrier robots, articulated robots, computer vision software, and in general, with a strong focus on digitalization as a key driver of efficiency.

To meet these needs, we are intensifying our focus on innovation, aiming to bring new products to market faster to address our customers’ evolving needs. Developing the products of tomorrow

As our new Senior Software Developer, you will join a global, cross-functional Innovation & Development team consisting of highly skilled people within vison, mechanical, electrical engineering, data analytics and software. The team's mission is to innovate products and systems within the airport business domain.

With our highly skilled team you will be a part of all processes – from analysis and development to test and implementation – it is up to you to:

  • Lead embedded software development of new products and architecture of the products
  • Give input to automation strategy and technical requirements
  • Set product requirements in collaboration with the business
  • Evaluate and select appropriate technologies for automation and orchestration
  • Use best practices and standards for automation, testing, and quality assurance

The position is in Aarhus, and you will have stakeholders within the organization – both locally and internationally.

Senior Software Developer with a proven track record within robotics

The role calls for a candidate with a strong background in designing and implementing embedded/robotics solutions across various software platforms. You are innovative, proactive, and able to develop automation systems that enhance efficiency and drive business value. Moreover, you bring the following qualifications to the job:

  • Experience in software automation architecture and systems design
  • Strong expertise in a wide range of software tools (e.g., GitLab, Docker), programming languages (e.g. C++, Python), operating systems (e.g., Linux), simulation environments (e.g., Gazebo, UNITY), and frameworks (e.g., ROS2)
  • Solid understanding of DevOps principles and CI/CD pipelines
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a dynamic environment.
