Student Worker – Operational Excellence

Are you a student with a passion for turning data into insights and optimizing business processes? If you want to explore how data science supports Operational Excellence in a global industrial company, this is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience while contributing to real-world challenges.

You’ll be part of the Operational Excellence team at BEUMER Group. Here you will be involved in many different tasks. Your role will focus on using data and digital tools (like PowerApps, PowerBI SharePoint, and Excel) to help us improve and streamline processes across our organization. We offer a job of 10-20 hours weekly. You´ll also get the opportunity to travel to other group companies.

Your tasks will be to:

• Assisting with data collection, cleaning, and visualization across process management and performance improvement projects
• Developing digital solutions using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI)
• Maintaining and optimizing internal collaboration tools such as SharePoint sites and lists
• Automating reporting and creating interactive dashboards in Excel or Power BI
• Supporting project coordination (e.g. preparing agendas, taking minutes, tracking action items)
• Jumping in on ad hoc tasks when needed – every day is different!

You competencies

You could be a bachelor student planning to continue with a master's degree within data science, business analytics, information systems, or a related field. You are eager to apply your data and digital skills to business and process improvement topics. Ideally, you:

• Are proactive, positive, and not afraid to try new things
• Are self-driven, proactive, and enjoy working independently
• Have experience with Microsoft tools like Excel, Power BI, Power Apps, and SharePoint
• Enjoy working with data and creating simple, useful solutions
• Are well-organized and detail-focused, but also keep the bigger picture in mind
• Have good English skills (German is a plus, but not required)
• Have an interest in Lean, continuous improvement, and performance management

We are open to you writing your thesis or conduct your internship at BEUMER.
