Automation Engineer

Our CrisBag system is designed for fully automated baggage handling and delivers 100% tracking and traceability at every stage of the baggage system process. The ownership of the CrisBag system is currently within the Airport Engineering team. Now, the strategy is to build a CrisBag team in Customer Support ensuring the best possible service for our CrisBag customers. As our new Automation Engineer, you become part of our CrisBag Legacy team. Here, you will help build competencies and knowledge of our customers' systems and assist with expansions, changes, and general support.

Potential to grow

Throughout the first period you will be working closely with the Automation Team in Airport Engineering making sure you get well acquainted with the CrisBag system. As you get to know the system, you will gradually grow your tasks and responsibilities on customer sites. You will be responsible for the PLCs of the systems, which can comprise from a few PLCs to 50+ PLC's.

As you master the system architecture and programs, you will take on responsibility of the automation part of the projects and activities, allowing you to build skills in that area. In the projects, you and your colleagues design and programme controls for our baggage handling systems in worldwide airports. You take part in all the project phases, from specifications trough PLC programming, design, testing and commissioning and are technically responsible for the automation solutions.

Build your knowledge and take responsibility

You enjoy sharing your knowledge and discussing the best solution with your colleagues, and you actively seek their advice. Also, you have a playful spirit and enjoy finding solutions to solve complex challenges. Moreover, we hope that you bring the following competencies to the job:

  • Experience in Siemens S7-300/400 series PLC's (STL)
  • Experience driving the technical part of projects and thrive in a coordinating role
  • Preferably experience working with safety PLC (300 series)
  • Knowledge about Schneider and SEW servo drive/PLC is an advantage but no prerequisite
  • Knowledge about database (Access), networks and their architecture is also advantageous but no prerequisite
  • Fluency in English, written and verbal
  • Ability to travel up to 50 days per year worldwide
