Software Project Manager - Aarhus/Aalborg

Manage software development projects from A to Z

Your primary responsibility will be to plan, lead and execute customer-specific software development projects. Projects that meet the agreed goals of budget, time, scope, resources and quality. The projects typically last 2-8 months and range from smaller deliveries to projects worth several million DKK.

More specifically, you will:

  • Manage, lead and motivate project teams of 1-10 software developers, hardware engineers, PLC programmers, and other specialists
  • Be involved in and responsible for planning and executing the project from specification, design, implementation, testing, and commissioning to handover to the customer
  • Present software solutions to customers and internal stakeholders
  • Be responsible for the software project execution and keeping deadlines and budgets
  • Collaborate closely with other internal Project Managers, electrical and mechanical engineers that form the complete delivery

The target is to ensure quality across both internal as well as external processes. Thereby keeping the customer intimacy high by the open and clear communication throughout the complete project so it finishes according the mutual agreements and satisfaction.

Good software understanding, solid project management, and people skills

As a person, you can handle multiple projects with short deadlines at a time. You also have a strong analytical approach, allowing you to comprehend complex tasks. Moreover, you are good at communicating and building relations with your stakeholders, and you know how to motivate your team to achieve good team spirit and deliver with success, so everybody is happy.
The role requires technical flair and understanding, thereby making it easier to collaborate with your internal stakeholders.

Your experience and approach include

  • Experience within project management disciplines, such as risk management, estimation, planning, and budget follow-up
  • A customer-focused approach and a sense of urgency, making it possible to deliver within tight schedules of our customers
  • You are comfortable with enthusiastic technical people that thrive for the best solutions
  • Experience with managing complex software projects, at best combined with a master's degree in software engineering
  • Fluency in English

If you are certified in PMI, IPMA or some other project management tool, it is an advantage. If not, you are able to get your certification via us.
