Product Owner to join our digital transformation journey

Be part of creating the next generation of digital products at DSV

In our department Enterprise Transformation, we have an open spot for an experienced Product Owner to help us deliver real value in close collaboration with business and IT.

You will play your part in the development of secure, scalable, and high-quality products with innate fault tolerance, as you oversee the vision and roadmap for Customs Platform.

Additionally, you will be responsible for:

  • Grooming and prioritising the product backlog in close collaboration with business and business change management stakeholders
  • Facilitation of the agile development process and ceremonies together with the team
  • Communications management towards and from the development team
  • Ensuring that the product delivers the expected value to the business
  • Collaboration with relevant stakeholders to understand and anticipate their needs and translate them into product requirements
  • Ensuring progress on the product development through its full lifecycle
  • Reporting on updates to stakeholders and the product team
  • Managing and planning the needed test activities to improve the quality and security of the solution and to ensure that we are ready for rolling out on time
  • Taking part in the support chain and incident handling process to ensure continuous availability for our customers.

We are looking for an excellent communicator who can proactively establish and maintain effective working relationships

We’re looking for an experienced Product Owner with strong communication skills — someone who can clearly express ideas verbally, visually, and in writing, and build effective working relationships across teams. You're a team player who knows how to collaborate with and influence technical teams.

You have a technical educational background and solid experience in product development.

In addition, you:

  • Have a good understanding of technologies such as Containerization, MongoDB Atlas, RDBMS (e.g., Postgres, MySQL), and Kafka. You don’t need to be a developer, but you should understand how these technologies work and how to use them to shape high-level solutions.
  • Can read and understand code structure, best practices, and software architecture. You know how to challenge developers when needed and support proper testing/QA.
  • Understand automated testing methods — including unit tests, component tests, regression tests, and end-to-end tests — and how to define effective test cases.
  • Can work with solution architecture and help maintain or set up Software Design Documents (SDDs) in collaboration with solution architects.
  • Understand debugging and log analysis well enough to follow technical conversations with developers.
  • Care about code quality and can interpret tools like SonarQube and Xray to help ensure the product meets quality standards.
  • Have a basic understanding of application security, including how to visualize things like authorization and authentication in login flows.
  • Are familiar with SAFe and Scrum frameworks for agile development.

Join an agile department with a start-up mindset

Enterprise Transformation is an agile department responsible for developing and operating modern products, in line with DSV’s digital strategy. Our purpose is to generate direct business value for DSV’s business divisions by building advanced end-to-end products.

Your new unit is characterised by having a start-up mindset, and it is divided into cross-functional product teams with a mix of colleagues early in their career and highly experienced. We strive to base our work on knowledge and insight rather than hierarchical structures, and we make sure that our decisions are based on conversations between people with different competencies rather than one individual.

You will work closely with other product owners, developers, data scientists, ML engineers, DevOps engineers, and business experts located all over the world, to create the digital experiences of tomorrow in DSV.
