Product Manager, software products

Shaping a successful software product portfolio

As Product Manager, you are responsible for driving the development, optimization, and market success of our software product and services portfolio. Success in this role involves developing and executing a strategic product portfolio overview, and individual roadmaps, guiding product development efforts, and ensuring that our products meet market needs and profitability targets.

You play a pivotal role in shaping BEUMER Group's offerings for the product portfolio of a specific segment within our business contributing to our overall growth and leadership in this segment. You work closely with the Centre of Competence Product Managers that are owning the market specific roadmaps.

Your area of responsibility covers, but is not limited to:

  • Managing the full product lifecycle, including launches, improvements, phase-outs, and replacements.
  • Identifying market trends and customer needs in collaboration with the Global Product Management network and the Centre of Competence teams.
  • Defining and promoting product USPs and ensure prioritization of "better business" and "keep alive" initiatives within budget.
  • Ensuring training and creation of sales and marketing materials for software products.
  • Leading deliverables in development and go-to-market efforts, including pilot customer involvement and pricing strategy support.
  • Maintaining a global product status report and act on insights related to maturity, competitiveness, and market presence.
  • Providing input to IP management and support patent strategy.

Your profile

The ideal candidate has strong product management experience combined with a principal understanding of how to form a software product portfolio around a specific domain. You excel in analytical and strategic thinking. Working in an international company with a large network of stakeholders is something that comes natural to you with your strong communication skills. Moreover, you contribute with the following qualifications:

  • A master's degree or similar qualification with a focus on business administration, software, information technology management or engineering
  • Solid experience in product management and product strategy
  • Broad mechatronic and software understanding
