Director, People Development

Expectations - we are looking for a colleague with

• A wish to drive strong employee experience that fosters engagement, development and a sense of purpose at work
• A wish to shape the learning and development agenda through Kvadrat Academy
• The ability to connect learning and development with real business needs andadapt to changing priorities. You know your HR processes and tools and have experience with recruitment, onboarding, performance reviews, talent development, and engagement surveys
• A collaborative mindset and the ability to influence across all levels of the organization. A strong communicator with the ability to bring people along
• Leadership experience from a similar position in a medium or larger size organization. You will lead a team of four colleagues based in Ebeltoft directly and lead our local People Development colleagues indirectly (colleagues in China, Czech, Poland, Germany, Holland, and UK)

As Director, People Development, you will be responsible for the strategic direction of the People Development area and operational execution of the Kvadrat Academy. In close collaboration the People Development team in Ebeltoft, the local People Development colleagues and Kvadrat leaders, you will ensure that our learning and development initiatives are impactful, inclusive, and aligned with our business context.

Key focus areas

• Lead the People Development team directly (4 people) and local People Managers indirectly (6 people)
• Kvadrat Academy - make sure we plan and execute learning activities targeted at all employee groups. The goal is to match the competence level to the strategic needs of the organization. Nurture a performance and learning culture where you also will be hands-on in some of the global Kvadrat Academies together with the team members
• Sustain leadership quality and build leadership pipeline through academies and training (including High Potential development). Some of the Leadership training is executed by the former Director, People Development, who will still be partly working for Kvadrat
• Kvadrat’ s recruitment and onboarding processes and tools
• Our internal communication platform TALK. TALK is a digital platform where all employees can share stories and inspiration. The People Development Team is responsible for the corporate internal communication distributed through TALK and the platform itself
• Our digital learning platform LEARN. We use a platform from eloomi and produce most content ourselves. A lot of the content is related to our products but we also often create blended learning solutions as part of our internal academies
• Execute learning and development processes according to our annual wheel: People Review, Performance & Learning Conversations, Employee Engagement survey etc.)

• Deliver “learning for all” through training and learning programs. Scope is all employees within the Kvadrat Group
• Support the Kvadrat culture and the execution of the overall strategy
• Have sterling managers in all leadership positions
• Have high engagement among leaders and employees
• Sustain our people practices, learning and competencies at the highest level

We are looking for a person with a relevant educational background at MA level and with a minimum of 5 years’ working experience from a similar position.
