Team Manager, Electrical Project Engineering - Airport

Are you looking for the opportunity to lead a team of highly competent technical specialists in a global and industry-leading company? Join us in a leadership position with responsibility for our electrical project engineering team, working on major international baggage handling systems for airports.

You will join our Airport Project Engineering department, leading a team of 10 electrical project engineers and designers, and you become part of the Engineering management team with other managers, helping to integrate automation, electrical and mechanical engineering.

Here, you join a highly social and collegial environment. Every day, we try to make each other laugh, we support and challenge each other, and we apply our technical expertise to deliver our complex projects. Often, we must meet tight deadlines, but our team spirit means that we always pull through.

Lead and develop your team

You will take on both a local and global role, collaborating closely with colleagues in Aarhus as well as in our group companies across the globe as part of a global airport engineering setup. Your tasks will include:

  • Daily management of your team, including resource planning, sparring and facilitating strong collaborations with stakeholders across the organization
  • Team meetings, 1:1 staff meeting, coaching and guidance
  • Input to Process development and optimization
  • Recruitments (assisted by our People & Culture department), salary dialogues, personal development dialogues and organizational reviews
  • Close collaboration with team managers in both DK and group companies across the globe.
  • Planning, developing and optimizing our approach to electrical deliveries
  • Cross-functional collaboration with highly skilled specialists and lead engineers.

Experience with technical projects and people management

Stepping into this role, the key to your success is your ability to keep the overview of the resource allocation across projects, so we deliver as promised. Most often, we participate in multiple international projects, just as we collaborate with many different disciplines and functions. Thus, your role is also to help us overcome obstacles and facilitate cross-functional and cross-cultural cooperation. To succeed in the position, we imagine that you:

  • You are an experienced people manager who can lead highly competent technical specialists, recognizing and listening to their input while setting the direction.
  • Strong desire for team management
  • Have solid experience with technical integrations in major electrical projects.
  • Have knowledge about the machine/electrical directive and risk assessments.
  • Travel approx. 10-20 days per year.
  • Communicate effortlessly in English
