Project Manager, bid and proposals

We are looking for a Project Manager to support the Logistics Sales team in BDK during the quotation process with focus on project schedule and cost for project execution.

The link between sales and execution

As the Project Manager, you will be involved in the quotation process and follow up on executed projects within the Logistic Division to ensure a close cooperation and info sharing between the Project Execution team and the Sales & System team.

During the day-to-day work on different quotations in the Sales & System team, you will be working together with different internal teams as well as with colleagues in our group companies around the world. More specifically, you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the sales team in BDK and group companies in analysing and evaluating customer requirements in tender material within the area of for project implementation, testing and project handover to ensure those costs are included in the price calculations.
  • Preparing the project schedule for the quotations submitted to customers, which are aligned with the production and the project execution team.
  • Taking the role as Bid Manager on selected quotations to support the Sales & System team globally to ensure high quality in quotes for new systems.
  • Securing that the lessons learned from project execution is linked back to the Sales & System team to constantly improve cost estimations and overall project calculations on Logistics sorting systems.

Being part of a global company, you can expect up to 20 travel days per year where you will work together with colleagues and customers across different time zones and cultures.

Strong communicator with a team player mindset

The ideal candidate enjoys collaborating in cross-organisational teams – both locally and globally. Having strong communication skills and a basic understanding of cultural differences to communicate smoothly with project stakeholders at all organisational levels is key to being successful this role. Moreover, we are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:

  • A background within project execution with a good knowledge and experience of onsite activities during project implementation.
  • A degree in Engineering or any related field, to be able to understand the processes within sortation solutions.
  • Used to participate actively in meeting customers to present, evaluate, and cooperate to find the right way for project execution
  • Fluency in English.
