Technical Project Manager

Job Description

Are you motivated by travelling the world while managing and combining software and mechanical solutions to deliver vital infrastructure solutions? Use your technical expertise to develop and integrate highly complex, mission critical systems for a global market by joining our stable family-owned company.

Lead complex technical projects
You will join BEUMER Group to ensure system integration, implementation and the quality of complex automated baggage handling systems that are installed across international airports as an essential part of daily operations 24/7. As Technical Project Manager, you assume the technical lead on major projects, and you collaborate closely with a Senior Project Manager who handles the commercial and contractual side of the projects.

Implement infrastructure solutions
As Technical Project Manager, you are responsible for the overall technical and system implementation of our infrastructure solutions. You look into system requirements, specifications and design to make software and electromechanical systems come together. Moreover, you oversee costs and technical deliverables.

You will play a central role, where you organise and manage technical teams while representing BEUMER Group during the project lifecycle. Thus, you make project schedules and assess risks related to the technical deliverables. Moreover, you oversee all system technical interfaces including building and site interfaces, which you help hand over to customers and customer support.

Perhaps most importantly, you help coordinate the technical deliveries from different specialist areas and suppliers, particularly focusing on the first project stages, where all system requirements are made into solid solutions.

Broad technical knowledge
Making sure that our system applications comply with all technical, capacity and system performance requirements, you will need a broad technical knowledge and some project management flair. But at the same time, you will need a well-developed sense of urgency, enabling you to react when issues occur.

Also, we believe that you:

  • Have a proven track record with technical project management related to system interfaces and system capacity performance management, preferably from a comparable business. Or motivated to learn so.
  • Are comfortable with budget responsibility and making as well as executing time schedules.
  • Are a trained technician with a background in mechanical, electrical or process engineering, and that you perhaps have some experience with conveyors, processing, automation and sorting systems.
  • Are fluent in written and spoken English.

Moreover, we expect you, going forward, to be able to lead and motivate technical teams. And you are ready to manage large and complex projects in an international environment – travelling 70 days a year to major airports all over the world.
