Customer Implementation Project Manager

Explore your potential as project manager for global customer implementations

If you have experience in freight forwarding and project management and would like to explore a career path in DSV, Global Customer Implementation team (GCI) can offer you the possibility to strengthen your skills when implementing our global customers. In GCI, we drive the implementation of what we have agreed with our customers into daily operations including processes and IT setup.

As part of our team, you will be working with our biggest customers and be exposed to many areas of our business and group functions. Hence, you will have the chance to develop your personal and professional skills when leading implementation projects in close collaboration with our customers and DSV colleagues.

Join an ambitious and international team

Our lineup is international with team members in Denmark, Germany, Hong Kong, Netherlands, Poland, Germany, Portugal, Romania and Switzerland, and we work with customers, sales and operations globally. Our projects have often a level of complexity which requires extra attention related to requirements, multiple countries and/or technical setup.

We have business and technical knowledge internally in DSV, so as a project manager you are adding value by creating structure, giving transparency and planning the work. Our project management foundation is based on PRINCE2, while our implementation methodology is owned by Global Customer Implementation team.

A trusted partner to customers and internal stakeholders

As a customer implementation project manager, you will be a valued and trusted partner to customers, sales, business, and IT. You have the overall responsibility for the day-to-day project management in your projects and will lead resources from multiple teams in your projects.

Specifically, your job will involve:

  • Plan and follow-up on assigned projects according to our project management methodology, based on Prince2, and Global Customer Implementation methodology.
  • Create transparency about status, tasks and issues to stakeholders by reporting and defined project governance e.g., team and board meetings.
  • Support sales teams with implementation approach and present capabilities to customers
  • Lead and facilitate workshops with customers, business and IT to define requirements and processes
  • Lead the design phase for customer tailored solutions, related to both operations and technical setup

Strong in structure, focused on execution

As a person, you are independent and a leader who knows how to communicate and collaborate to achieve the defined business objectives. You can stand your ground when challenged, and you know how to navigate in large corporations.

We are looking for a candidate with the following qualities and profile:

  • You are structured, hands on and pragmatic
  • You can actively manage stakeholders
  • You have either university degree or education within freight forwarding/international logistics
  • You have minimum 5 years relevant experience within global forwarding or international logistics
  • You have active project management experience and Prince2 certification (Foundation and/or Practioner)
  • You speak and write English fluently
  • You are willing to travel 10-30 days per year

The optimal candidate has strengths in three main areas: freight forwarding or international logistics, technical knowledge (IT applications, customer integrations) and leading complex projects with international stakeholders. If you have some of those strengths but not all, we are still interested of you application if you are motivated to develop yourself and onboard a journey where you by exposure and training can develop your skills. Our office is in Hedehusene, and we are open to combine working from office and home.
