Senior Project Manager - join our Group Property Construction Team

Are you ready to make your mark on expanding DSV’s international property portfolio where you develop and execute large scale projects.

From construction sites, warehouses to office spaces, your work will take you through a wide range of tasks and challenges, and you will get to see the property projects through all the way from the initial planning to the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

It’s a great opportunity to work internationally in a team with a high degree of individual responsibility, bringing jobs to the local communities and create excellent working environments for your DSV colleagues.

Frederik Tauber, Director of Construction in Group Property

Join us in Group Property

Together, we are 21 colleagues with professional backgrounds in law, finance, construction, architecture, engineering, and project management. We are based in Denmark, US, and the Netherlands.

Working in 3 teams, Land Search, Construction and Transaction, we oversee real estate matters for the entire DSV Group, managing a diverse portfolio of over 1,500 properties across 90+ countries. We also work closely with our 6 colleagues from Group Legal based in Poland and Germany.

You will be based at the HQ office in Hedehusene, and already live in Denmark, when appliying. However, our projects are spread out all over the world and you will probably travel 3-4 days per month, but essentially it is up to you to plan your schedule.

Our work environment is the kind that fosters a genuine wish to come into the office each day, reflected in the long tenures of most of our team members.

Frederik Tauber, Director of Construction in Group Property

Develop and design large-scale international property projects

The properties we build are between 10,000 - 200,000 m2. specifically, you will:

  • Run 2-3 projects at the time.
  • Lead design workshops where local DSV business operational needs are captured in the building design.
  • Manage tender processes.
  • Be responsible for the overall construction schedule, budget and quality.
  • Coordinate with construction companies, internal resources, engineers, architects, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  • Do on-site inspections.

Before you take on a project independently, we will make sure you receive the appropriate training, and you can always get a second opinion or advice from your colleagues.

Frederik Tauber, Director of Construction in Group Property

Property construction and project management experience

You must be able to work with tight deadlines, running your projects independently but knowing when to reach out and ask or align with internal managers or stakeholders.

Personally, you're prepared to handle large budgets and significant responsibilities, prioritizing timely delivery, quality, and staying within budget without compromise, in addition to:

  • A background as an architect, engineer, constructing architect or similar.
  • At least 8 years of experience in architecture or engineering within the building industry, ideally with a focus on logistics.
  • Demonstrate a proven track record and comprehensive understanding of property development from start to finish, coupled with procurement expertise.
  • Be fluent in spoken and written English since it serves as the primary language within our company and amongst our partners.
  • To have cultural understanding coupled with your excellent interpersonal and communication skills enable you to work well with stakeholders from various countries and professional backgrounds.
