Area Sales Manager

The EMEA Distributor sales Division is managing the distribution of FOSS solutions throughout the European distributor markets. In order to support our continuous development and growth ambition within distributor sales, we are looking for a dynamic and result driven Area Sales Manager to drive our activities in the region.

The Job

As Area sales Manager, you will join a team of 3 area sales managers and two area sales assistants where you will be responsible for your own selected countries in the region (a.o. Middle East and Africa). You will be referring to the Managing Director Foss Nordic & Distributor Sales EMEA.

It is your responsibility to develop business plans, budgets and execution plans and follow up on agreed targets, via frequent meetings with the local distributors as well as customers. You will be focusing highly on pipeline management.

Your main focus areas will be:

  • Drive sales activities in cooperation with own local distributors
  • Monthly performance review with distributors
  • Distributor review and development
  • Ensuring that agreed targets are met

The job will be based at FOSS Innovation Center in Hillerød, DK. Since you will be covering a large market, we expect you to travel approx. 80 days per year - sometimes more if needed.

Qualifications

We are looking for ambitious candidates with preferably 5-7 years’ experience within business-to-business sales in an international company, focused on one of our key business areas: Dairy, Meat, Feed & Forage, Chemical Analysis, Grain & Milling or Wine.
We expect you to have a strong and proven track record of meeting / exceeding sales projections in capital equipment sales. You are internationally orientated and accustomed to international travel.
Experience in driving revenue in technical products is strongly preferred.
You are a strong communicator who knows when to listen and how to get your message through. Besides that you obsess strong analytical skills and work systematically and persistent when pursuing goals.

English language (in writing and spoken) is a requirement.

We prefer applicants having a technical/scientific background at minimum Bachelor level but experience counts more than education.

Meet Mariana – Chemometrician in Research & Development

Mariana is a Spanish Chemometrician specialised in NIR. Coming from a research background her move to FOSS was motivated by a desire to work with real products and real customers. AT FOSS she is involved in the innovation of new products, developing calibrations for the EyeFoss image analysis grain analyser.
