Senior Project Manager – Run MW Scale Renewable Energy Projects

You’ll get to support the energy transition and decarbonisation in DSV, and as something new, we’re now working on capital projects, solar PV components, battery storage and truck charging infrastructure to be able to also produce renewable energy.

Welcome to our global Project Management Office

In the DSV Group Project Management Office (PMO), you will be a part of a group of 80+ highly professional colleagues. Our mission is to provide high-quality services and handle projects for the DSV organisation, supporting business and group functions in executing global strategies. For energy specifically, the project portfolio is closely linked to our corporate strategy.

Based in Hedehusene or hybrid role within european timezone, you will have access to a wealth of knowledge and work closely with project managers, the teams implementing the projects as well as senior management.

We focus on coaching and training to build on our skills. From the very beginning, we have an onboarding programme and a buddy waiting to introduce you to our framework, organisation and processes.

Lead complex projects linked to our strategy

We have recently made the transition towards our project managers being even more specialised in their roles. This means that you will be the subject matter expert for energy and become responsible for running enterprise-level projects and programs, which are directly linked to the DSV strategy. The projects will mainly revolve around our Energy/Renewable agenda portfolio and may consist of multiple teams/workstreams and require integration with other activities outside the project scope.

Running 2-3 projects at a time, you will have close cooperation with stakeholders, which include both team members in the project, DSV Energy, as well as senior and executive management. Specifically, you will:

• Develop MW-scale renewable energy projects from early stage to operation, following our standard energy project development process
• Handle external stakeholders and partners such as authorities, suppliers, and service providers
• Ensure we have all the permits in place at the right time
• Handle the development process across all project stages – from initial business case initiation up to an operational energy plant – together with the DSV real estate organisation

Solid project management experience within renewable energy

Needless to say, this role requires good interpersonal and communication skills as well as the ability to build and maintain business relationships. You know how to manoeuvre across the organisation, and while you use your coaching skills in your interactions, you also know how to stand your ground when others challenge you. Finally, you:

• Have some years of continuous project management experience with large corporate projects – preferably from a global PMO and MNCs
• Some years of experience running large energy projects, preferably within solar PV co-located with BESS, wind, electrical car and truck charging
• Understand project management models i.e. Prince2 and/or agile frameworks such as SAFe – a certification is an advantage
• Are fluent in English (Oral Danish is an advantage)
