Data-Driven Production Test Engineer with Coordination Skills

As our new Production Test Engineer, you will become part of our Production Test & Device Test Automation team, where we continuously improve current mass production test solutions while innovating new ones. We are experts in electronic, mechanical, acoustic, and video production testing solutions for some of the very best communication and video products.

You will administer the operation of the WATS database (our main production database) and auxiliary data systems for test reporting. You will be constantly in contact with the team and suppliers to identify data chain gaps & potential improvements. Correspondingly, you are able to map WATS features to our organizational needs and potential improvements.

As a Production Test Engineer with Data responsibility at EPOS, you specify production & Data requirements using your PCBA/electronics knowledge & validate that all are fulfilled utilizing data analysis tools, in-house test facilities & sparring with the team.

Your core responsibilities among others will be:

  • Verify operation of clients and uploading of reports (Inc. converter scripts).
  • Auxiliary systems for data collection and storage are operational (Upload portal, ftp, SQL).
  • Creation of live Dashboards
  • Creation of tools for data automation tasks. Knowledge of APIs and programming is necessary.
  • Extract data from our production database and present and use statistical module in our WATS SW to present overview of test limits, yields etc.
  • Excellent Soft skills: good stakeholder management and teamwork as the job requires a lot of interaction with other people.

In short, you will make sure that data conversion and Data validation is smoothly running from our production sites and suppliers and is living up to EPOS standards. You try to continuously improve existing data processes in terms of data quality and query performance. This requires a continuous interaction with our Team and external partners.

You are geared to deliver high-quality results using your knowledge in production Data analysis and databases, coordination and test setups.

We expect that in the past, you have shown to work structured with a positive operational approach and enjoy taking ownership of tasks and projects assigned to you.

In addition to be on top of our Data journey, you can picture yourself doing the following:

  • Having the needed insight for EPOS products and measurements systems used during manufacturing especially PCBA/UI test set ups.
  • Specifying, planning, validating, debugging & optimizing production test solutions in corporation with EPOS team & suppliers in China.
  • Being capable of analyzing data and scripting databases for different verification purposes
  • Being a central player in the team to coordinate in-house development & verification activities together with colleagues from audio, DSP, SW, HW teams.

The ideal candidate can tick off the following qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in data analysis and database knowhow
  • Understanding databases and NoSQL/SQL query writing and optimization skills
  • Having programming and API knowledge is a big Plus.
  • Good understanding of electronic circuits, PCBA or video image evaluation
  • Ability to provide and maintain overview of ongoing activities and projects.
  • Python knowledge is a big plus.
  • Fluent in English in both oral and written.

Besides you may have previous experience with one of the below:

  • WATS test data management knowledge is a big plus.
  • Understands production processes and testing flow.
  • Monitoring and reporting on performance metrics and Data conversion.
  • Experience with merging large sets of data for imports and exports.
  • Have JIRA knowledge.
