Project Manager, New Product Introduction

The job

As a member of the New Product Introduction (NPI) team within the Production and Supply Chain (P&SC) department, you'll represent P&SC in strategic product development projects. Your responsibilities encompass overseeing manufacturing, quality control, warehouse, logistics, and sourcing & purchasing to ensure timely deliveries and high-quality outcomes.

You'll engage in the entire product lifecycle from conception to post-launch production refinement, setting ambitious goals to enhance FOSS' product development and production processes. Emphasizing a culture of collaboration and openness, you'll work closely with stakeholders across departments.

We will start by welcoming you to our office in Hillerød, but at the end of 2025 we will move our production facilities to Frederikssund and the position will be based there, together with the rest of the team.

Primary tasks

The New Product Introduction team is responsible for delivering well-established and robust assembly production processes to ensure successful product introduction and launches and this forms the largest part within your responsibility. As a result, direct collaboration with subject matter experts and stream leads within P&SC and R&D is a large part of your daily work, however you’ll also work closely with stakeholders and team members a from Service and Launch throughout the projects. Your main tasks will be to:

  • Coordinate projects activities within P&SC together with other team members
  • Maintain project oversight, set team direction, and ensure timely delivery of project outcomes
  • Develop transparent project plans and communicate these effectively to stakeholders
  • Improve NPI project management processes to succeed in current and future projects
  • Lead and participate in NPI, P&SC and cross-functional acitivites to improve ways of working, systems, tools and products

Qualifications

We imagine you bring the following qualifications:

  • An academic degree within engineering or production but another academic background may also be relevant. Interest in and ability to understand technical problems quickly is required.
  • Minimum one year of experience working with project management in cross-functional projects, preferably related to production or development activities.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to navigate elegantly between pragmatism, idealism, diplomacy and persistency.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Fluency in English as this is our corporate language.
  • Strong understanding of LEAN principles is an advantage.

Mariana is a Spanish Chemometrician specialised in NIR. Coming from a research background her move to FOSS was motivated by a desire to work with real products and real customers. AT FOSS she is involved in the innovation of new products, developing calibrations for the EyeFoss image analysis grain analyser.
