Shipping Specialist – Maternity Cover

As Shipping Specialist, you will join a strong and ambitious shipping team within our project organization working globally with projects.

About the job

For success in this role, you will:

• Secure professional execution of transport worldwide for project shipment to end-customers.
• Have close collaboration with global stakeholders (Sales, Project Manager, Procurement, Order Handling, Warehouse and Suppliers).
• Coordinate the shipping activities between the involved parties and ensure transports are booked and organized in respect of customer demands, according to legislation and customs rules.
• Participate and contribute to project execution from the bid phase.
• Define transport needs and make requests for shipping quotations with forwarding agents.
• Negotiate and secure shipping agreements with global forwarding agents on project shipments.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives with root cause analysis to optimize best practice workflows through LEAN processes.

This position will be based in Søborg, Copenhagen, and we anticipate it to have a duration of 9 months.

What you know and who you are

You hold a shipping education and/or relevant experience from a similar position. You are familiar with Incoterms and master EU- and international transport rules. You are service- and open-minded and act as a team player where you can be flexible and still persistent and persuasive when needed.

You are an excellent communicator and networker with a holistic, customer-focused view.

You speak and write Danish and English at negotiation level.

You are structured and maintain a positive and motivating attitude through challenges.
