A newly established team

You will be part of our Group Business Controlling team consisting of 4 dedicated colleagues beside yourself. Here, we are responsible for the business controlling for all functions of FOSS. The responsibility is split on PSC, Sales, Service, R&D and Marketing. You will be reporting to the Head of Group Business Controlling.

Going so, we work closely with the other functions at the head office and our colleagues at our sites around the globe. And you will be working alongside great colleagues, who are always ready to help and share their insights.

Supporting our Global head of Production & Supply Chain

Your goal is to ensure an objective financial support function to our SVP for Production & Supply Chain, where you assess the proposals and projects and the estimated financial effects. You will be a member of the leadership team for PSC. Your role will be to provide the latest financial status in a transparent, business translated and actionable way.

This also means that you are charged with conveying the message of your assessment, making sure that everyone is on board with the complex analysis and numbers. By doing this, we help create value for the business, our supply chain, and our colleagues. You are expected to actively participate in deviation and improvement management based on your insights into both the financial and the business side of things. You aim to challenge the current state and come with suggested actions and adjustments.

You will also be a central part in the group performance management. Here you will support our CFO with group analysis, where you give insight and challenge statue que.

Some of your tasks also include that you:

  • Carry out various reporting and analysis that support business optimization e.g., performance management and controlling projects, creating a red line from operational controlling to strategic target setting
  • Drive yearly budget and estimate process for this SVP area
  • Support and initiate analyses and processes that ensure a stable financial control, including highlighting risks and handling business cases
  • Participate in weekly and monthly meetings with key stakeholders ensuring that our reporting processes are followed and that our production set-up is profitable
  • Assist with the implementation of our strategy and secure the realization of anticipated KPIs
  • Maintain a close and constructive working relationship with our Group Reporting & Accounting, who handles our basic accounting responsibilities

Furthermore, you will support and supervise our production controlling in Suzhou, China.

Qualifications

Solid stakeholder management skills are key to succeeding in this role. You are good at structuring tasks and keeping the bigger picture under pressure without losing the focus on the details. In oder to succeed, you should possess a commercial mindset and common sense.

The preferred candidate comes with solid experience from an international company, where you have worked with financial planning and analysis. We expect you to be an experience controller with proven track record. You are a superuser of MS Office and knowledge of SAP is an advantage, but not a requirement.

We expect your professional background to be a master degree/HD within finance. Furthermore, you communicate professionally in English.

Personal skills

You are a person with personal drive. You are thorough, possess good cooperation skills, which enable you to establish professional relations. You have a positive, can-do attitude and takes pride in communicating and explaining your own area of expertise to stakeholders and colleagues around you.

Lastly, you need to have a keen interest in technical details as our products are complex and key to our success. Therefore, you need to be curious as well as intelligent.

Jan’s daily work as a manager in Concept Development consists of generating new ideas in collaboration with his team and deciding which ideas should be developed. The daily challenge of finding the right solutions to address the needs of our customers is solved by a diverse and competent group of specialists working together.



Meet Mariana – Chemometrician in Research & Development

Mariana is a Spanish Chemometrician specialised in NIR. Coming from a research background her move to FOSS was motivated by a desire to work with real products and real customers. AT FOSS she is involved in the innovation of new products, developing calibrations for the EyeFoss image analysis grain analyser.
