Are you interested in operational management and fundraising?

The IRCT is currently looking for a student assistant to support our Fundraising and our Operations team. Working at the IRCT will provide you with a good understanding of the functioning of an international organisation, the human rights sector and global anti-torture initiatives. As a student assistant, you will have a number of varied tasks. You will refer to the Director of Operations, but work with colleagues across the office in supporting a broad portfolio of fundraising, financial management, IT and administration aspects.

We seek candidates who fit the following profile:

  • Relevant education within Business Management, Organisational Management, Economics and Finance, Communications, Marketing or similar.
  • Excellent English and Danish skills (both written and oral)
  • Experience in preparing budgets and financial reports
  • Technical skills for digitally based work, in particular use of O365
  • Skills in visualisation of data and use of PowerBI are an asset
  • Strong planning and prioritisation skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills - ability to deliver clear and concise messages
  • Great interpersonal skills and ability to work cross-culturally and with different stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and take initiatives
  • You must be currently enrolled in an educational programme – both master and bachelor students will be considered for this position.

The Student Assistant will have the following tasks:

  • Support the Director of Operations in tasks related to the day-to-day management in relation to finances, HR, IT and administration.
  • Support the creation of new financial reporting formats and visualisation of data to increase transparency and information sharing across the organisation.
  • Background research on funding opportunities
  • Support production of applications and reports to potential donors
  • Support to office administration and procuring materials
  • Preparation and minuting of meetings

Terms of employment:

The position will be 15 hours per week. The work schedule is flexible, but it will need to be closely coordinated with the needs of the organisation and you are expected to attend relevant meetings and events. There will also be flexibility according to the student’s academic calendar, for example during exam periods, etc. It is desired that you can start working as soon as possible.
