Co­per­ni­cus System Ope­ra­tions Engineer

EUMETSAT’s role is to establish and operate meteorological satellites to monitor the weather and climate from space - 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. This information is supplied to the National Meteorological Services of the organization's Member and the Cooperating States in Europe, as well as other users worldwide.

Reporting to the Copernicus Sentinel-3 Systems Operations Team Leader, the Copernicus System Operations Engineer coordinates routine operations and supports the evolutions of EUMETSAT’s Copernicus ground segment systems operations preparations for future Copernicus satellite systems to be exploited by EUMETSAT, including Sentinel-3C, -3D and -6B.

Duties

  • Coordination of Sentinel-3 system operations and system operations engineering;
  • Operations of the Payload Data Ground Segment (PDGS), the multi-mission elements and the communication networks of the Sentinel-3 ground segment;
