Student Project - wind power far offshore logistics

Future wind farms are likely to be developed far offshore, more than 75 km from the coast line. Therefore, the known logistical technology, routing, procedures and techniques are being upgraded or replaced with new technology that require new solutions in the logistics setup.

The following should be investigated with regards to optimisation:

Far offshore
Top based maintenance.

The project includes analysis of the following:

Helicopter operation movement of equipment, e.g. spare parts and tools
Other means to move equipment, e.g. maritime vessels, offshore warehouse or other solutions
