William Cook Europe was Cook’s first presence in Europe and it opened up new markets and new opportunities. The company was established in Soeborg, Denmark, in 1969 where it manufactured wire guides, needles, catheters, dilation equipment, tubes, and other products for use in radiology, cardiology and minimally invasive surgery.

The company has steadily developed from its humble beginning more than 4 decades ago with only 2 employees to today where William Cook Europe, now located in state-of-the-art plant facilities in Bjaeverskov, Denmark, employs nearly 700 people in the fields of production, quality assurance, regulatory affairs, research and development, sales and marketing, and all the necessary support functions.

William Cook Europe is responsible for a wide range of minimally invasive medical devices serving medical specialties such as Aortic Intervention, Peripheral Intervention, Interventional Radiology, Critical Care, and Lead Management.

There are common themes across every medical specialty we support: patients want to get better and doctors want simpler, more effective options. That’s why we work hard to improve our minimally invasive medical devices and the way they’re delivered to hospitals and doctors around the world.
