We continue to expand our business and are looking for a skilled Electrical Design Engineer to help us succeed.
As an Electrical Design Engineer your primary responsibility is to design and develop DC/DC switch-mode power supplies for high reliability applications. You will be working with proprietary designs and traditional converter topologies as well as analog circuit design. You will also be involved in application engineering and evaluation of new parts and products developed by other design centers within IR HiRel.

In order to realize the long term goal of renewable based energy systems, the synergy between electricity, heat and gas will have to be explored. The interactions among different energy sectors will provide more flexibility required by the future renewable energy system. With good coordination among different energy sectors, it will provide cost efficient and secure solutions for the planning, operation and control of the future renewable based energy system.
This PhD project will study the flexibility and ramping requirements of integrated energy systems. Optimal dispatch and online control algorithms will be developed for multi-time-scale operation of the integrated energy systems based on model predictive control.

You will be part of Maersk Line’s vessel network optimization team which works together with business specialists, vendors, and academia to develop innovative world class optimization IT tools for optimizing the world’s largest container vessel network.

VILLUM FONDEN has provided a substantial grant over the next 8 years to “The Villum Center for the Science of Sustainable Fuels and Chemicals” (V-SUSTAIN). The clear aim of the center is to provide the science necessary to phase out fossil fuels and thereby alleviate the negative impact the continuous use of these have on the earth’s climate and environment.
The PhD studentship is within the field of electronic structure theory and computation. The stipend is focused on the design of new materials for light-induced water splitting and involves the development of theory and computations for materials screening.
The work will be carried out within V-SUSTAIN in close collaboration with experimental partners performing synthesis and testing of new materials. The project will mainly apply Density Functional Theory.

The stipend will focus on development and application of novel ab-initio based methods for describing the photo-physical properties of two-dimensional materials and van der Waals heterostructures. The work will be carried out in the section for Theoretical Atomic-scale Physics (CAMD), at the Department of Physics, DTU.
There will be a strong coupling to the Center for Nanostructured Graphene (CNG) at DTU, which covers all aspects of research on 2D materials from materials synthesis over characterization to theory at various levels. The project will mainly apply Density Functional Theory and Many-Body Perturbation Theory. A list of relevant publications from the group can be found below.

You will function as our software engineering and architecture coach and as part of that, be expected to champion best practices in general and specifically on our use of internal 3Shape frameworks. This will include defining, documenting and facilitating architectural design choices in the development projects.
You will also function as a senior software developer on projects, where you are a part of the SCRUM process: participate in writing requirements, designing and coding software, do reviews and testing to 3Shape quality standards while making sure that the products developed meets and exceeds our customers’ expectations.

The project focus on learning locally adaptive metrics and building statistical models that respect these. We model the locally adaptive metric as a Riemannian metric, which gives a firm mathematical foundation to build upon. We are interested in building both theoretical foundations and practical algorithms working with this class of models.
Working on this, you will develop new insights using differential geometry, machine learning, probability theory, and much more. The focus of the project will depend on the chosen candidate. Potential topics of research include (but are not limited to):
- (Smooth) metric learning
- Latent variable models
- Probabilistic numerics
- Statistics on Riemannian manifolds

As an Accelerator Physicist in the Hadron Synchrotron's Incoherent effects Section, you will:
- Study beam intensity and brightness limitations in the LHC injectors and in particular the Proton Synchrotron Booster (PSB), with an emphasis to space-charge effects for high-intensity and high-brightness beams, both in its current status and for the on-going upgrade studies.
- Study linear and non-linear beam dynamics (theory, simulations and experiments) including space-charge for improving the intensity, brightness preservation and transmission of the present operational PSB beams and of those foreseen for the LHC injector upgrade (LIU) project.

The Section for Atomic Scale Modelling and Materials at DTU Energy, Technical University of Denmark (DTU), invites applications for a PhD scholarship on computational analysis and design of new materials for electrochemical CO2 reduction.
The successful candidate will use Density Functional Theory (DFT) to elucidate the fundamental reaction mechanisms of the electrochemical reduction of CO2 to fuels and chemicals on catalyst surfaces and nanoparticles, using DFT, genetic algorithms and machine learning to discover novel catalysts compositions and structures.
The PhD project will be carried out in close collaboration with experimental groups in the Villum Center V-SUSTAIN and linked to other ongoing computational projects in the section working on electrocatalyst design and materials modelling.

This PhD project will investigate robust congestion management and distributed self-healing methods to improve the resilience of active distribution networks. The distribution system operators (DSOs) may use market based or direct control methods to influence the behaviors of DERs to alleviate potential congestions in distribution networks. The self-healing method is to handle contingencies in distribution networks. The project is to further develop market based methods to solve congestions in distribution networks by influencing both flexible demands and distributed generation and taking into account uncertainties. The project will also develop distributed self-healing methods based on IEC 61850.
